what u mean its not a good time ? we are headin up tuesday am... probably go back in july... cherokee up to asheville is really all i know but it is killer... never get tired of it... check out some of the 2 lanes that peel off from it... gonna do 151 next week...gas up before u get on it
Take your time... the BRP is like good sipping whiskey... something to be savored
There's no gas ON the BRP... and darned little just off it...
and bring rain gear... you can be on the east side of the ridge in bright blue sunshine, gp through a curve, and enter the west slope, and rain
Its a great ride and you will love it!.....last time I rode in June it seemed a little cool. Be sure to take a good lite jacket and I think the temps were in the 60's. Cool places to see right off the Parkway. Download the app from the https://www.blueridgeparkway.org/parkway-maps/

Plenty of gas in the tank and plenty of time...enjoy the scenery and don’t speed...watch for cages and rubbernecking slow pokes... don’t let the slow cars get under your skin, if it does, stop look at the majestic views,repeat...
Take it slow and easy and you'll have a great trip, especially that time of year.
Aroma(s) are fantastic, lots of wildlife but if it's raining or foggy you may want to postpone until the next day as it can sometimes get really nasty up there.
Booze is illegal in any form on the Parkway. Some guy riding from a family reunion had a cooler on his trailer and got pulled over... I was asked to move his bike when I rode by where he and the cop were 'discussing' the issue.
I went last May and It was perfect. BRP is relaxing, Id say dont let yourself get complacent with upcoming turns. Enjoy the ride and campsites on the route.
