I'll be doing bear tooth in early to mid July. Hoping for good weather. Sounds like an amazing road. Really hope I get a chance to ride it.

Nice picture and it shows that snow can be up in the mountains pretty early, we went late July a balmy 55 degrees....

No, you're mistaken! This is at the Wyoming/Montana line a few miles from the vista south of Red Lodge, I was there, lol!! Road number might change but we took right off Chief Joseph Highway onto 212(??) and passed this spot on way to Red Lodge( we were at this spot a few days prior when the pass was closed). Either way, be ready for cold weather....

We were on the Beartooth Highway in late June of 2016. A week later it closed for a couple of days because of a snow storm. So you really never know. Usually the Highway isn't open till Menorial day

Beartooth is a must. I find July and August to be the best times to go up and do it in the morning. Red Lodge is a fun town

Red Lodge is a nice little town. Nothing like riding to dinner and having deer walking down the middle of the street in the middle of town....
