Back in 06 we rode over the week before Strugis, we had to wait at the rest area on the Red Lodge side for the snow storm to pass. I have a picture of my wife looking real unhappy, she didn't bring her leathers

I'm hoping middle of June since I have Motel Reservations for the 15th & 16th.

Here’s a video from Montana DOT shot while crews worked the Beartooth on May 2. I’ll bet they make their usual Memorial Day weekend opening. Means a lot to SW Montana.

The Chief Joseph scenic highway (296) is highly recommended. It intersects Beartooth (212) about 15 miles west of Cooke City and takes you down towards Cody.

I rode Beartooth last year in mid September and the weather was great for that trip at least. I would say its my favorite road I've ridden a bike on. Did Chief Joseph after on my way to Cody, WY.

I see where Beartooth was closed over the weekend, due to heavy snow, and a couple of bikers were stranded on the pass. They had to catch a ride in truck, and leave their bikes for a day or two. Crazy weather out there for sure.....can't wait to go. lol
