This is a total long shot but I'd like to figure out where a certain rest stop is on the I-15 somewhere in the desert in California or Nevada...
When I moved to California about 6 years ago I rode my old 1978 Suzuki GS550 from Canada and next week I'm moving back to Canada..unfortunately my Dyna will be in the back of the truck. On my way down somewhere in the desert I stopped at this awesome little store on the side of the highway. It was obviously run by bikers. Before I even walked in the store I had two cool old guys telling me there was an ice cold shower out back to cool off with, and the guy inside told me the same thing. All I know is it was on the North side of the freeway, had a big sign that I think either said GAS or OPEN, it was somewhere between vegas and victorville. I'd like to stop there again on the way back North if I can but would rather know where it is instead of trying to figure it out as I go. Does anyone know where this is? Or am I being way too vague?
I have done I-15 from Vegas to the Canadian border several times and Vegas to Route 2 both directions several times and don't recall any stop of the type you described. Possibly it is on the California I-15 leg as I have never ridden it.

I dont recall anything like like that between Victorville & Vegas on I15. But, if you figure it out, let us know.
There used to be a couple of small operation gas/c-stores just north of baker, not sure they're still open. Overall there's not much of interest between LV & SoCal. Even the Ca DOT rest stops are usually closed
I have no idea as I've never been out that way. However since you seem to remember the general area, you may be able to use google street view to find it.
Did that yesterday actually and found it. Basically dead center between Baker and Barstow. Bummer is it looks like it's be spruced up and turned into a restaurant. Was really hoping it was still the same little market I went to before! I'll still stop and check it out and report back if it's worth checking out.
