I went up that way this summer. Loved the ride up to Copper Harbour. The last 5 miles it feels like a roller coaster. On the way back we went to the east and through Gay. Houghton is a nice town. Never did make it to Mackinaw Island or Bridge, but looks like you had a great time.

H58 was a great road but had a detour at the start in Munising because of road paving. It definitely got really good and curvy towards the end.

Stopped at the Soo locks for a bit. We saw a freighter just under 800' coming in.

Looks like you have a fun trip. I just really dread crossing the bridge if the outside paved lanes are close and you are forced to ride the inside lanes over the metal grates (bike really wobbly).

Oh, we had to ride on the grates for part of the bridge because of lane closures. It wasn't too bad. The bridge in Houghton seemed worse than the mighty Mac.

Agree as far as a bridge with grates the Mac is not bad at all. Well maintained and the fact it is so wide helps a lot. No big deal at all. Really a good Pic.
