Default Road trip Recommendations

Looking for recommendations for a road trip from northeast Ohio in May, June or August. 5 days or less and would be nice to include a rally. Any ideas?

Have you ever been across route 6 in Pennsylvania? Gorgeous country and a lot of interesting sights to stop and see along the way including Pennsylvania Grand Canyon.

Get out a big map. Then draw a circle around the 2.5 day point from your home. Then use Google Earth and figure out what looks cool to you.

I am not familiar with route 6. I will have to add it to the list.

Thanks for the ideas.

You could make it to Laconia Bike week and back in 5 days ,but doesn,t give you much time to enjoy, unless just riding is your pleasure[which is an understatement lol]

I dont know about rallies, but Adirondacks over to the White Mountains is a favorite of mine. If the weather is nice on top I always try to hit Mt Washington!

Mcnulmi, I live in N. Central PA on 6, and you're really close to some great riding over here. Anything north of 80, and west of 15. Just pick a road! Google these things --- Kinzua Dam, Kinzua Bridge, PA Grand Canyon. All must-stop destinations. Take 80 to Clarion PA, and ride 66 up to Kane. Then you can map out the sights I just mentioned once you get to Kane. Also, Google Sherman Memorial Lighthouse in Tionesta. It's a full sized real lighthouse next to the Susquehanna, built by a guy for no particular reason other than the fact that he likes lighthouses! It's pretty cool. It's on 62. 62 goes up to 6 at Warren, and you'll be close to Kinzua Dam, then east to Kinzua Bridge, then east to the Grand Canyon. If you have another day or 2, you should go down to WV. GREAT riding down there. Beautiful scenery, lots to do & see, and not a straight road in the whole state. I love it down there, and I go at least once every summer just to ride those roads. Google Blackwater Falls State Park, then down to Seneca Rocks, then west on 33 to the Trans Allegheny Lunatic Asylum tour in Weston. After that, it'll be an easy ride home. There's always New River Gorge Bridge in WV too if you have time to go a little further south before you head home. Heading south to WV, stop at Horseshoe Curve National Landmark near Altoona PA. Especially if you're fascinated with trains like I am! This'll be a wonderful, scenic 4 or 5 days of riding & sightseeing for you. I've seen all these sights, and I'll probably go again! I'm glad to give you more details & route numbers if you decide you want them. There's also Frank Lloyd Wright's Fallingwater house, and flight 93 memorial too, and Johnstown Flood Memorial & Museum. You could easily kill a week just in western PA & WV. Have fun planning!
