Anything going on with the fake water shortage?
By the way, your sportster would be sweet over here. My BMW is nice, but I enjoy riding my Road King in California better. The BMW is very tall and getting harder and harder to ride for me as I age. I am thinking about selling it and buying a 1200 custom, putting some saddle bags, a sissy bar and windscreen on it. The roads over here have greatly improved. Many are now concrete that were once unsealed. I think the sportster would be a good choice for a bike over here.

You forgot to say the price? Many, many pesos I'm sure.
Ground floor opportunity, front license plate bracket for all bikes due to upcoming law?
I hear they want billboards on bikes to stop drive-by shootings.
Good thing they have strict gun laws there.

It’s 850,000 pesos. You can expect to pay 150% of MSRP for imported bikes not manufactured in the Philippines due to import and customs fees. There is proposal to make bikes have two license plates like you said. I doubt much will come of it. Hell they have a hard time delivering on one license plate. It takes a year or more to get your plate when buying a new vehicle.

Wow, that is not as bad as I would of thought. Only about $4000 more than here. When I have been there it has been rare to see anything over 350cc.
I wonder if you put a side car on it if you could charge a premium for taxi service? LOL
Do you do much driving in the bigger cities? I find being a passenger a nerve wrecking experience. Amazing how they can make 2 driving lanes into 6 without too many accidents.
I find riding the jeepneys about the safest mode of transportation and also the most confusing and fun especially at night.
Not sure I could ever drive there.
Thanks again for all the pics.

Yeah, I drive my own car even in Manila. Like most Americans I grew up having my own wheels. I can't live without them. I don't ride jeepney's, buses or tricycles much. We have a Ford four door, diesel engine pickup, a Ford Ranger. It's a nice car for the Philippines.

From our onion harvest, the ones the buyer doesn't want. They say they are too big.

Some pictures from on the road....

I was always amazed that power actually made it to the buildings. These pics bring back some great memories. Hard to believe it has been thirty years since I was last there.

Well Cats, tomorrow I'm traveling to Manila and then on Tuesday I catch that big ol' jet plane back to the states. Been out of country for about six months. Hoping to do some riding in the Mother Lode this spring. BMW here in the Philippines is back in lay up until I return again....
