Alot of cones up everywhere. Going up the hill to Rushmore they've got it coned off to 2 lanes instead of 3. Iron mountain road is chip sealed from start to finish with no lines painted yet. Just plan on taking it a little slower in some areas.
We'll be out there the 2nd week of Sept. We get all of the riding without the crowds. We enjoy our motorcycles just not everyone else's. I know it sounds strange but all the hoopla doesn't interest us a bit. But for other folks it's a great time. Different strokes...
I live here so I will be going. I take the whole week off. If anyone needs a guide let me know. My wife and I ride these roads all year. Everyone inbound ride safe.
