So true its all about the ride. I decided to keep this camp spot one more day and do some riding in the area

thought these were cool there are 5 of these available for rent
hwy 3 was clear and quiet this AM. I am going west and going to slip into the US at Creston. Going to loop up into Yaak MT. Back up to Fernie tonight

Day 2 had me turn south and head fir the border going ti make a loop and back into canada.

I dont fly fish but if i did this looks like a good spot. This is about 5 miles nirth if the US border

First couple of pics from the US side looking north. Can see a little but of smoke. I have not seen any other smoke today except what you see here

Same as above

Hwy 2 going east towards Libby. Hwy 2 is a good riding hwy. low traffic and nice curves where you maintain speed

These nextbto pics i turned north at Libby going to Yaak. Now these roads are really windy and yu have to slowdown to the 30-35 range. Some really narrow spots as well

Had a great homemade burger at the yaak tavern. Dont know why i never tokba picture. If you into hunting and fishing this is a cool stop. Lots of stuff and pics on the walls. These pics are leaving Yaak on another highway. I could see fish in the river

Same road a couple miles past the above pics. If uou look at the map this highway intersects hwy 2 west of Troy 508 i think

These pics are along hwy 37 it follows the lake for about 40 miles. This is a lonley highway. If you want to travel 60 mph around sweepers with no traffic here it is. I never came up on any vehicles and there was one sport bike that came from behind and passed me. This is a riding highway

I am not a bird guy but as i took this picture theybsure were making a lot of noise

I crossed this bridge years agi. This is the third road you can yake to yaak. This road is really slow going and takes about 90 min frim hwy 37. At this spot i am about 20 min from Eureka MT. For those of you that are reading this if you have never been oit this way this is typical riding in northern MT and Washington BC and parts of Alberta. You can get on some good highways away from the mainstream traffic. Okay thats it for today heading back axross to Canada “eh”

There is a motorcycle festival in Squamish on Saturday, perhaps check it out before heading East.

OP - great pics. Enjoy the ride.

My favorite kind of trip, did that a couple years ago by wife said let's pack up and go no reservations no plans just go. We rode just over 7000 miles in 10 days and it was probably the best trip we have every done. Went to Tennessee, Arkansas, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama, Florida, Mississippi, Louisiana, Kentucky can't wait to do another trip where we wake up check the weather and go.

Had a great day today. Lots of riding twisty roads and again mostly quiet with traffic. If you are looking at a map. I went Fernie to nelson up to Kaslo and across to Nakusp. All in BC.

This is looking back south at town of Nelson

Couple of guys fishing probably for lake trout

These next two pictures are rare. Cow moose actively feeding in the water. Probably 80 yards from me. She was nervous and watching the bush in front of her. I bet there was a calf or two there. This is not in a park

Here is my camp tonight. This cot on the table i recently got. Itvis so much bettet than a mattress.

okay more pics tomorrow as i do not have wifi tonight
