What's this area like weather-wise Rocky, June-August?
June is risky....The Sun Road may not be open, and there are several passes above 7,000 ft..... the ideal time would be mid July to end of August.... but The Beartooth is almost 11,000 ft, and can snow any day of the year.
Looking to spend a couple nights around the west entrance of GNP. Would prefer a small cabin for two people but on a budget and don't want to spend anymore than necessary.

I haven't ever lived in Cody but my folks are buried at Cody and I have a brother and a sister that live there now.
I stated that I lived close to glacier park back in the 80's I lived at Cut Bank back then and used to ride GNP all the time!! a bunch of us used to ride over to Kalispell for the stock car races and to party! Back in those days riding through the Blackfoot reservation could get interesting!!
I have ate at Granny's and Cassie's both in Cody.
I know the owners of Granny's, I was part of the original crew that took it over from the previous owner and revamped everything (many years ago).
Lived there for a couple years before moving on to a better paying job & then school.
There’s a KOA in West Glacier that has cabins..... another option is to stay in Kalispell, it’s not that far.... a nice day loop is Kalispell... the Bull River Road .... Troy..... Eureka..... Kalispell.... quiet roads, Mountains, rivers and lakes.
Try to do the GTS road early in the day. I started in around noon and it took me two hours to get to Logan Pass from West Glacier. The traffic was bumper to fender all the way up and dead slow. I dont think I got out of second gear.

I stayed in Kalispell. Nice town. I like architecture and found some neighborhoods of big old homes to ride through. Small town but has everything one needs.
