Here's a few pics from a recent day trip we took. Looks like about 270ish miles total. We had 6 bikes, one of which was 2 up. Little bit of rain, but not terrible. I wore a short sleeved T-Shirt the whole time, LOL
I always enjoy 55 from Boise to New Meadows... and then 95 all the way to the border... Especially if I include the old Whitebird grade, the Winchester grade, and the old Lewiston grade... Old Roads at their finest.

All great roads!
My family homesteaded the Midvale area. That's probably the reason I have always gone that way.
I live in the Boise area so the McCall loop is a nice little day ride.
I absolutely love 95 though.
Well no I live in SW Washington about an hour from Portland and was born and raised in Oregon but I've ridden all over Idaho many times.
Been pretty much everywhere in the West as far as that goes between biking and trucking, just sold my 2000 E-Glide with almost 200,000 one owner miles on it if that tells you anything. Bought a 2019 E-Glide in September my 3rd to date
A lot of great riding over your way and not too much traffic on the back roads.

The Road I loved was the one from Stanley to Banks... 21 & 17 through the SawTooths... .. I was coming from Yellowstone, through Sun Valley and up and over the Galena Pass and Stayed at The Stanley High Country Inn... When it was a private lodge, Frank Sinatra use to stay in the room I rented for the night... that was cool... but I remember being on 95 around Riggins heading North towards home, and it was over 100 degrees, that was hot... and so damn hot, I soaked my T-shirt in the gas station and put my Klim Jacket over it to try and stay cool... that was in my BMW GS days... that was the first time I rode up the Whitebird Grade... now that was a fun day... I made it as far as Grangeville, and tied down for the night in the first motel I found... hot and tired... I found a nice little restaurant just downtown and a had a great bowl of spaghetti....
Here are a couple of picts from back in those days....
This is at the Top of the Galena Pass looking NorthWest.... that is the Sawtooth Mountains... and Stanley is up that valley several miles...
... This is the Front Entrance of the Stanley High Country Inn... the receptionist insisted I park the bike under cover for the night.
