I have AAA and used it once when I plowed into the rear end of my friend's bike at low speed. The guy who came knew how to load motorcycles and he took us both to the nearest dealer which was close by. I'm not planning any long rides this summer due to Covid but if I were I would probably upgrade my HOG membership to Deluxe and have both if needed. I like redundancy. If one system fails, there is a backup.

I am a basic HOG member, so I have some basic towing included. I also have towing on my insurance policy and an AMA member ship that includes towing. I have never required a tow, but feel I'm well covered.

I have it through my insurance, Safeco. Seems easy & took care of the job.

Yup... this is what I have, and have used. Unlimited “Come Fetch” and distance to the closest dealer... I have used it 3 times... once for a flat, once for blown up rear bearings, once for a clutch issue... and once for the Pan when it would not start.

I'm a Lifetime HOG member but I have not "upgraded" the road service option.

I have roadside asistance thru Progressive Insurance (which is up for renewal) for $10 per each bike and I also have AAA RV Plus.
I'm probably "over-insured" but fortunately I've never used any of these services.
I'll ask my agent tomorrow about cancellig the roadside coverage and if I do I may check into the upgraded HOG roadside plan.

I did use the roadside coveage from GM once back in 2004 and they towed my truck and my trailer to the nearest Chevrolet dealership but I hae never used the Progressive or AAA plans.

I’m going to admit to overthinking this. My plan has been to use the HOG $19.95 upgrade if I needed to get in off the road to the town the dealer is in when the dealer is closed. Then, when the dealer opens use my Progressive coverage to get my bike to the dealer or an independent from the Hampton Inn. Have been a HOG member since 1983 (HOG ran a sweet lifetime special about ‘85) and never had to use it. Point is it might be worth keeping the cheap Progressive coverage.

I'll throw in another thumbs-up for Road America. They've saved my butt a couple of times. Wouldn't be without it.
