We decided to go home the quickest way. Never again. Temps Friday from noon to seven in the evening in TX were 105-112 on my bike. It was brutal.
Texas heat will kick your *** if you're not used to it. I work out in it, so I'm used to it, but my question is this....
Why in the hell would you be riding in the afternoon during a heat wave? I understand trying to get home, but even tho I'm used to the heat if I'm traveling in it I try to hit it between 5am and noon, and be off the bike by then...that gives you 7 hrs of riding, most of it before it starts to get hot....

I was born and raised in Texas and will have a tap root in the Lone Star state, but Colorado is a wonderland. Suppose to be in the 70's here next week....and I've yet to meet a cockroach here.
