Thanks everyone for the reply’s! I got burnt yesterday so I’m hiding from the sun today. But I want to do a sun set ride. Weather got real nice this afternoon. Low humidity cooler temps! Will post more pics when I can.
Neutrogena Helioplex. Anything above a thinker was 45 is meaningless. Sounds good but meaningless. Read the instructions.
People underestimate the intense heat from South Florida all of the way down to the keys. Even with 100% cloud cover either UVA or UVB forgot which one comes right through like the clouds were not even there.

They are supposed to be pretty famous for the pizza. I fully ate and was finished before I heard and confirmed that it was the pizza I should been trying. LOL
Be careful of the key dear. Asia get closer to the no-name pub, key dear is everywhere everywhere everywhere everywhere everywhere everywhere. And believe it or not, you can pet them. Not that I would suggest it. Or that it is a good idea in any way of looking at it. But people do. But then again I guess people go through red lights. LOL

Then another. And then another. And then another. Etc. LOL his kids absolutely love the photos. with the sandwich getting smaller and smaller.
In '75 I (with two cousins) rode from Michigan to Key Largo, FL.
At that time, we ran "out-of-time" (as we were on vacation) and had to start heading towards home.
THis was fine with me beacuse by then I had managed (unwisely) to get myself (basically face and lips) to get a good (actually bad) case of sunburn!
Key West is on our "list" of places that we want to go but I'm not sure of when how we may go there. TBD!
We really want to make the trek next month to key west But stay 2 nights but stay in Marathon also a few nights. I would like to know In key west, where is the most common popular area that can be walked so I can stay close by to walk from the hotel or resort.

Duval street/ Mallory square. Anything close to this area is great for walking

We stay here when we go, it’s on what they call the quiet end of Duvall street near the southern most point marker and Ernest Hemmingway house
rooms are large, clean, comfortable if you don,t mind walking it’s about a 20 min walk to Mallory square for sunset

I will second the recommendation for the Blue Marlin. I stayed there two years ago this month and found it to be decent. I like the covered parking for the bike and the walk to Mallory Square was not bad.
Rode to the Everglades yesterday. Chilly but dressed for it.
From Marathon to the Everglades and back. Great ride chilly but dressed for it. Osprey nest at Flamingo Marina. Little info about the Marina. Catch of the day!
We were in Florida Late May of ‘15, to attend a wedding that was cancelled. But, that’s another story. Anyhow, while there we rented a TriGlide (cause that’s what I rode at the time), and met up with some friends at Yee Haw Junction, and rode to Key West. We overnighted in Homstead, then spent 2 nights in Key West. It was a great ride down. Once the bikes were parked, we "toured" nearly every bar in Key West, and can proudly claim we did the “Duval Crawl”.

We are heade that way March 1. Where did you stay in Marathon Key, what kind of rates per night?
. Hi, I stayed at the Fairfield Inn rates very on the weekends approx 200.00 range Boondocks Key Lime Pie! Gooooood Clark... Restraint by the hotel. Beer and Key Lime Pie! Boondocks under the grass patio hut. He was not afraid of me and about 3 foot long! Morning coffee by the hotel. Couple keys down for another breakfast. Super bowl party at the local restaurant.
on Marathon, it’s clean and they let you park your truck and trailer on location. There is a nice restaurant right beside the hotel and a scuba and fish charter as well. Not to mention good local breakfast cafe’s everywhere. Look for Baby’s Coffee shop! The best coffee and sweets! Watch your speed, it upsets the locals and they pass illegally all the time on you. Boondocks is another place that had good food and drinks.
