. Hi, I stayed at the Fairfield Inn rates very on the weekends approx 200.00 range Boondocks Key Lime Pie! Gooooood Clark... Restraint by the hotel. Beer and Key Lime Pie! Boondocks under the grass patio hut. He was not afraid of me and about 3 foot long! Morning coffee by the hotel. Couple keys down for another breakfast. Super bowl party at the local restaurant.
on Marathon, its clean and they let you park your truck and trailer on location. There is a nice restaurant right beside the hotel and a scuba and fish charter as well. Not to mention good local breakfast cafes everywhere. Look for Babys Coffee shop! The best coffee and sweets! Watch your speed, it upsets the locals and they pass illegally all the time on you. Boondocks is another place that had good food and drinks.
I sound like a travel planner haha!
Boondocks, 23.5 MM as I recall. 1 of my FAVORITE places to stop going in and/out of the keys. ALWAYS GREAT food, people, and atmosphere.
We agree, Boondocks is a fun spot. We stayed one Key up a couple of years ago, probably less than 1 mile away, it was our last stop on the way home.
Kiki's on the next Key is also a good place for some food, sit outside, upstairs inside loses the entire vibe of the place. Downstairs on the sand is the spot.
Done that trip a couple of times out of Ft. Lauderdale and it never gets old. If you can take 41 rather than 75 (East west/ west east) its a bit more scenic. 29 which heads north/south between 41 and 75 has some fencing with signs warning of Florida Panthers. Never saw one outside of a zoo; but it gives the ride that mystique feel.
