Solo Florida Circle Trip
Solo Florida Circle Trip
I am thinking of doing a solo trip circling Southern Florida starting in my hometown Lake Panasoffkee, going south to the Everglades, then Key West. Goin back up on the east coast US 1 up to around Ormond Beach, then west back home.
ON this trip I am thinking of tent camping, so I am looking for any suggested campgrounds on this route!

1st of all PP, that sounds NICE!!
I camped (tent camped) at a LOT of places ALL over the Keys.
Stay at the name brand places like the KOAs I would suggest. I think Jolly Roger is ok. Do not remember that one well 'nuff.
1. The state parks bathrooms SUCK! Like Bahia Honda 'n such.
2. There is a family campground on the ocean side around the 7 MM or 20 MM, somewhere around there. I asked for HIGH GROUND and the guy put me on the highest ground he had. It rained and we were in about half an inch of water.
3. I would not camp in the summer due to the heat.
4. No matter how good your screen is that ur tent has, the "noseems" come right through. NOT fun.
