Well. Finally made the trip. Rode it 3 times on Friday plus the "Skyway." Figure close to 2,000 curves in total. At 66 yrs old, towards the end of day, I had finger cramps like you couldn't believe! I actually had to open and close my fingers and fist with my other hand! That's a lot of up and downshifting. Somebody crashed while I was there. A chopper and bunch of cops waiting for ambulance across from Harley dealership at bottom. The dragon's really not too tough if you follow basic "head turning" protocol. Way too many caravans of sports cars going hell bent for leather though. They will ruin the Dragon someday. Unfortunately it will be one day for cars only and one day for bikes, etc. I suppose. So, I hit 10 states in 6 days. 2,056 miles. Trailered the bike w/ no problems. Oh Yeah. Way cool! I got to teach my 17 yr. old g'daughter how to ride her "new" 50cc skooter. Been sitting in her dad's garage for 2 years. He's to lazy to get off his --- to help her with it. P.S. A word of caution. Spent WAAAAAY too much money on souvenirs ! When you make "your" trip, ya gotta go to the "wheels through time" museum. Very worthwhile.
Sounds like you had a great time even if your fingers are a little sore. I love riding that area and will be up there in October. Glad you made some memories with the grand daughter
I just rode it last year but here I am in the neighborhood again. I’m likely going to take this opportunity to ride it going in the opposite direction.
I never rode the dragon. I have rode the blueridge. Hard to compare the two without riding both. The blueridge is really great in itself.

Recently had a guy tell me The Rattler is so much better than the Dragon. I just laughed as they are so different that I would not even compare one to the other at all.
