Sturgis, anyone there yet

I know the rally hasn’t officially started yet, but it’s crazy out here already. Sturgis was nuts and busy as hell last night. Lots of bikes on Iron Mt Road and Needles. It’s on from what I’ve seen. Got here Wednesday and never saw this many bikes so early.

I won't be going again this year for the same reason as last year, covid. This year it is the Delta variant that is keeping me home. Instead I'll do the HOG rally in Durango with friends later in the month where I figure I can more easily limit my contacts.

Right now..the highways are almost dead….the days leading up to the first official day, including the first day and weekend, a lot of bike traffic….sitting here typing this post I haven’t heard any bikes pass by….
