I was wondering if anyone knew an inexpensive spot to camp for 1 night somewhere between Salt Lake City, Utah & Zion NP?
Just need the equivalent of a tent spot. Will be just 2 bed rolls actually.
TIA
West of Panguitch off 89, if you don’t mind a couple miles of gravel, there used to be a bunch of wilderness camping spots. Especially good for sleeping under the stars or a tarp over your bike and bedroll. I can’t believe it’s got that civilized yet. I used to find a good spot. Ride into town for a bite, then cruise out just before dark. That was before I was married, liked warm showers in the morning, and all those other things I lost with age. There are several camping areas right on 89, should be inexpensive for a “pop tent” site.
I have camped At Ruby's at Bryce Canyon. Showers, food, etc. When travelling south on Hwy 12 through Dixie National Forest, you can see campers off in the woods. Highly recommend the road. One of my favorites.
