Chimney Rock and Companion Rock
The great house. Thought to be 3 stories with 35 rooms and 2 great kiva’s
These spires had astronomical and religious significance to these ancient people

Today we rode to the Mesa Verde National Park, a really great place to visit on a motorcycle. The roads went from great to fantastic! The scenery is incomparable and the hike was unbelievable to the Pueblo ruins! We spent the entire day there.

We rode the million dollar highway from Durango to Silverton to Ouray to Ridgway where we had lunch. As great as that ride always is, the highlight was when we passed a young moose grazing in a heavily wooded marshy meadow off the highway, first one I’ve seen in Colorado in all my trips! Then we repeated the entire ride in reverse, all together a great day. Tomorrow we head to Moab Utah for 3 days.
