Had some good day after xmas weather, so I headed to my favorite stretch of highway. The
section of Hwy 49 from Mariposa to Coulterville in
the Ca gold country is an amazing ride.

Dubbed by some as “little tail of the dragon” Not sure if it actually lives up to it’s namesake, but I definitely scraped the pegs on a few corners. The new Metzler Marathons hooked up great ! Second to last photo borrowed off the internet ! Thanks to whoever took it.

 

Beautiful! I gotta get back up there. I’ve been toying with the idea lately of selling my place in L.A. and moving up around Gold Country and the Sierras. Enjoy the rest of the season’s riding!

Great rip connecting Gold Hwy 49 to east side of Sierras Hwy 395.
Summer only because most Sierra Passes are closed until early June due to snow.

Took a similar route a couple years back. I couldn’t hold anything in my left hand for days after that one !
