Default Laconia 2026

Hi guys. Me and my friends have been to Sturgis several times. Always stayed at the Chip, RV-ed, camped, cabins. We always knew what to expect there. And Daytona and Myrtle Beach more than I can count. We're all east coast - SC, GA. Looking to change it up in 2026 and head to Laconia. Looking for advice about where to stay close to the rally. I've seen all the website suggestions but, I'd like to know what you guys who have been suggest. Would rather not camp in a tent, but cabins are ok. (my backs not what it used to be).
Anyway thanks in advance for your thoughts.

@ArtRider I have moved this thread from the Welcome section to the General Harley Davidson Chat section as you will get better responses to your question in this section.
The Welcome section is more for introducing yourself & letting other forum members know what Harley Davidson you own

Stay in North Conway, it’s about an hour north of Meredith but pretty much the center of riding White Mountain in NH.

This is what we do every year[even tho I live in NH]--Laconia is 2 hrs from my house so we would rather be near the great riding of the White Mts and Maine .
If you are looking to stay close because you want to participate in the nighttime activities I would start looking at Airbnb [ how many are you looking to accommodate] .
All accommodations in the surrounding area during bike week jack their prices up considerably --- I believe if you're thinking cabin stays at the nearby campgrounds they are probably a minimum of $175 a night for 2-4 people
We get a room in North Conway at a hotel for about $150 a night and usually stay 3-4 nights. Let us know how many in your group and your some what plans [ riding all day/ nightly activities etc; ]

We stay in Lincoln at the Kancamagus Lodge, right at the mouth of the Kanc. Maybe 45 min from Weirs.

And bring rain gear. It's not called Rainconia for nothing!

Channel Waterfront Cottages | Rentals, Vacation Homes, Boating | Lake Winnipesaukee, Weirs Beach, NH

Call Jose and Staci NOW, they book up fast but it is beautiful property on the water and you can walk to many of the nighttime spots.

There's many airbnb places in Lincoln, less crowded than N Conway if that is what you are looking for. Where we always stay. Woodstock is a good spot in same area. I find most of the great riding is up in the Franconia and Crawford Notch areas, north of Weirs.

Skip the rally, there is nothing worth going there for.

Forget it rains at least half of the time of the rally, it isn't known to us NH folks as "Rainconia" Bike Week for nothing.

If you want a 3rd rate flea market experience, then go.

You would do a LOT better going in July or August, after mud season and after black fly season and enjoying NH, Maine, and Vermont, which IMHO has some of the best riding in the country.

Just stay the f*ck out of Massachusetts. There is no reason to go there. NONE

Want to go visit Maine? Head to Bentley's in Arundle, the Mecca for bikers in the Northeast.

Got good brakes and a lot of *****? do the Mt Washington "Auto" road on 2 wheels. I did it once almost 20 years ago, ONCE.

Bring winter gear if you do Mt Washington, it is COLD at the top, as I type this in late August on a sunny day it is 49 degrees with a wind chill of about 43 degrees on top.

Do "The Kanc"

Do Hurricane Mountain Rd, Bear Notch Rd too

I just did the road trip this year for NH/ME/VT this year during Laconia Bike Week, not the reason I went up there just timing. N Conway was fine, it’s a combination of family vacations and riders enjoying the white mountains. It’s close to Mt Washington (ridden it probably 6 times over the years and always fun), 8 miles from the Maine border and couple of hours from Rangley ME as well as Stowe VT. I rode 1000+ miles exploring the area over 4 days and really enjoyed it.
