Hi, I know there are alot of people on this forum that travel every year. And I 'am planning a trip for 2008. I have went out west for the last 4 year and I love it but me and the guy'sI ride with would like to do something differnt. So my question is, has anyone done a trip up the east coast? From as far south asNorthCarolina and north as Maine? We would like toride the coast line as much as we could. Let me know what you think? And if anyone has any pic's that would be great. Your input would help......

Ever been to Nova Scotia (Canada)? The past (3) years a place in Nova Scotia has hosted something called the Wharf Rat Rally. We live in Nova Scotia (Halifax) and this year we decided to see what all the fuss was about. The Wharf Rat Rally venue is a small fishing village by the name of Digby. I've included a link, might be something different ............. there's a ferry that connects Yarmouth, Nova Scotia with Bar Harbor, Maine. Yarmouth is just a stone's throw from Digby.
Bub, I am like you, I have made trips out west and am now thinking about the east and/or northeast. I have never been traveling in that area so I am looking for suggestions. I am thinkingaboutNew Hampshireand Vermont area and maybe Maine.
My wife does not ride nor does the wife of my friend who will be going also so we will trailer out and the girls will do their thing while we do ours.
I have one other friend who may be going but he will need to rent a Harley somewhere in the area that we decide to go to.
I see you are from Indiana also so if you come up with anything keep me posted.
Okay Indyrider. And yes I'am from southern Indiana. If you find any good riding road or places to see around the east coast let me know...... And if I find anything out I will keep you posted..
A friend of mine at work has a brother who lives in Bow NH. works in New LondonNHand is a Harley rider. I am trying to get some information from him on where to go. I will keep you posted.
If you are going as far south as S Carolina, take in Skyland Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway over into North Carolina - even over to the Cherohala Skyway and yes, US 129 - the Dragon
If you plan to come north along the coast follow rt17 to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel thru coastal VA, Rt 1 along Ocean City MD to Rt 9 in Delaware...if you want more PM me
Bub, at this point our tentative plan is to start our east coast ride from North Hampton, NH. A fried who is going with us will need to rent a bike and it looks like Seacoast H-D in North Hampton, NH is the place to do that. We then plan on a north route up US-1. We don't have the dates figured out yet.
