There is another forum called www.pashnit.com And click on pashnit discussion forum (it on right side). And there is a section called articaes (at the top). Click there and there will be a post about Alaska. And once you read this and see the pic's you will love it. It will be your dream ride. I know it is for me!!!!!!

If you can't find the forum. Then you can just put in www.pashnit.com/forum and click onthe Articaes section. This isn't a Harley forum but it is a good forum. There is some really good articaes in here. You will like it.............

I've been looking at Alaska as well. I have ridden across country several times , been to Nova Scotia, Key West, Route 66, etc. Looking for a new trip. I think I will check the site out as well.

Me and the guy's I ride with take a big trip every year fora week. We have been out west for the last 4 year. I have been to Yellowston, beartooth,Grand Canyon, Colorado, And route 66. And afterlooking at some pic's from Alaska I would love to go. But it would take longer than a week to get there and back from where I live. Pashnit forum is a good forum if you like to travel. Beacuse there are alot of people that travel on that forum.

Shoot ... I had Alaska planned for summer '09 ... seeing those pics now has me second guessing that decision. Thankfully I've got 5 more months to think about it.

For what it's worth, Crash, Alaska has to be 1 of at least 3 major rides a guy needs to take in a life time. I've already done a couple coast to coast rides, but not done one on the northern loop (San Francisco or Seatle across to Maine). There's also the Four Corners (San Diego, Key West, Maine, Washington) ride that I'd like to do in the next couple years. But Alaska definitely ranks right up there with any of the others.
