Going to Bellingham but starting a little east of you. This is how I have it maped out so far.
I 80 to Grand Island
NE RT 2 to 385
385 up thru the Black hills
90 to RT 14& 14a over to Cody
North 120 to 296 up to 212 over Bear tooth to Red Lodge
78 to 90 getting off at Rt 89 in MT
89 up to Glacier over Going to sun RD
Then you can take RT 2 over to Newport and drop in to Spokane from the north.
If you do some checking on these roads you will find a lot to see.
Another option is Rt 200, it goes from Duluth to Spokane. It is north of, and parallels I-94 so there's very little traffic on it. I have found more truck traffic on Rt 2 but it's OK also.
