Looking to do a road trip this September with a large group of Riders. We have done the Deals Gap/ Dragons Tail two years running and thought it was $#@%ing great. We are thinking of heading to West Virginia. We hear the scenery is awesome, but don't have a clue about West Virginia.

Can anyone help who has been there and give some pointer, or if you know some where better please tell. We are looking to go for 4-5 days

 

Where are you comig from?? Im pretty familiar. Went to college there, inlaws are from there and I have biked it too. hhg

5 days, and we r going to trailer bikes down. about 16 of us, we were thinking one day for white water rafting.

any one interested in riding WV, you can go to www.visitwv.com and request information on the motorcycle tours, they have a great booklet with several nice rides. I picked one up at New River Gorge Harley. Riding WV is some of the best around.... go to "trip planner" at the top tabs, then on the left side is the link for "Brochures and Guides" I have ridden most of these rides and many start around the rafting area. You have time to go on line and request the booklet from the state, it has some great rides.

Raft either Gauley or New, check on river conditions of both carefully, they can vary wildly. Pick a road any road...awesome place

 

I live in WV.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Ride to the NEw River Gorge frequently.&nbsp\\;The riding is great, the views are second to none really good restaurants&nbsp\\;and the rafting is the best around.
