Hawks Nest NY (route 97)
I took a very nice ride this morning from Bergen County NJ up to Sullivan County NY. \\; I took route 287 to route 23 up to High Point, NJ. \\; From there, I went through Port Jervis, NY and onto route 97 (Hawks Nest). \\; It was a little hazy today because it was so damn hot but the views are incredible. \\; I decided to hang a right onto NY route 55 and head up to Bethel NY and check out the new Woodstock Museum. \\; In all, 230 miles logged for me today, a real pleasure on my 08 SG.

I've taken that ride a few times myself. Route 97 is a great road. The Hawk's Nest gets pretty crowded on the weekends though. Can't always pull into the scenic overlooks because of all the bikes and cars packed into them. Yasger's Farm is on 17B in Bethel. I didn't know about the museum. Anyway, if you keep heading east on 17B you will come the village of White Lake. Stop in at Bubba's BBQ. Great place. They have an outside dining deck in the back which overlooks the lake.
