going first week in august. doing a whole nb, ns, pei thing. have read all the posts. still need a few answers:
clockwise or counter on the cabot trail?
where are gas stations on the loop?
if i stay in syndey first night, do the loop and am heading back towards pei - would you stay in sydney another night or wher would you drive to after the 180 mile cabot trail, including typical tourism stops??
Did it with the Parents when i was younger counterclockwise....was really nice...Remember Chetticamp had seafood to die for....Grew up in New Brunswick so it wasn't that far for us.
we also stayed at a Super Nice - higher priced but GREAT.. Hacketts Cove - called Havenside - not sure if it is still there... if so, Really nice

Also try and make a trip to Hall's Harbor and watch the Low Tide... WOW - it is something to see... Highest and Lowest tides in the World ? or they say... when the tide is out... all the fishing boats are on the bottome - harbor is dry ????
LOL - One last post here... not real sure of directions (north/south?) anyway,,, leaving Cheticamp (counter clockwise) just out of town on the left we saw a "Scarecrow Farm" now this was three years ago - but if you see this - stop for a look... this guy has set up a farm of scarecrows - people dressed up in all kind of get ups... really different and fun to walk around and see...
We are from CA - Flew to Boston,,, did a HOG fly and ride... up the coast to NS and back... Great ride..
