Phoenix to Austin trip suggestions

Phoenix to Austin trip suggestions
In a Couple weeks I will be riding from Phoenix to Austin. The bike will be almost new. I plan to have at least the first 500 miles on her and one or two oil changes at this point. So I'm just wondering if there are better routes than just super slab hiway between the two cities that ya'll can recommend. I dont want to keep her at constant rpm's and high speed and dont have to be back anytime real soon. I have just about given up on ROT seeing as it has taken about a month longer to get the bike than I had planned, but theres always next year.[:@] So, any nice back roads? Nice cruising kinda laid back routes? I am also a photographer and wouldnt mind some nice scenery to put the Dyna in front of. Any suggestions would be appreciated, thanks.

Hey Swede,The trip to Austin is a damn long one from where you're starting from.I would have to stay on I-10 till I get to Junction and then head up through Mason and that direction.If you have time,You should dip down to the big Bend area and maybe take Hwy 90 for a while.I can get real specific if you will drop me a PM.I'll be glad to help you lay out a nice route.I know these Texas roads pretty well and will be happy to help.
