Just got home. Over 2,400 miles – from southern Ohio; over into Indiana and Illinois; up through Idaho (along the mighty Mississippi), over into Wisconsin (absolutely beautiful state), up around the Michigan Penn, and back down into Ohio. 6 days, averaging 11 hours a day on the bike. Great ride. Already looking forward to my next trip. Colorado here I come!!!

You went to the UP by going through Idaho??? Woulda been quicker going through Iowa.

You sir are correct. It was Iowa. I guess I had potatoes on my mind; or it could be the fact that like my butt, my mind has grown numb from all that riding...
So, how was the ride? Any issues with the bike. Anything you'll change before your next long one?
A great ride. Lots of rain - a little sunshine now and then. Before I go on the next one I will own a real good rainsuit. The one I had just didn't cut it.
I had a couple of issues with the bike. #1. My front end wobbles really bad at all speeds, but especailly below 45. I was actually startled at one point when I took my hands off the bars to adjust my glasses. I'm going to look into it - heard someone say it was normal, but I've never noticed it before and I don't believe its normal. #2. Upon down shifting my shifter wouldn't spring back up when I got to 2nd and 1st gear. Soemtimes I had to take my foot and manually push it up (I took the heel shifter off when I bought the bike). I read in my manual that I may need to replace a spring...
You live in a great state. We did not make it Tahquamenon Falls. After we crossed the Mac Bridge we rode all the way down the lake coast to Benton Harbor. Absolutely fantastic!!!
