I'd suggest doing devils tower on wednesday and stopping in Hulett,WY on the way back. The town has a party the wednesday of sturgis week every year, it's kinda like sturgis used to be..

Yeah I heard something about that. I think they called it panty free day at devils tower. Definitley gonna check that out. Yeah we're only going to be out there for three days. My friends couldn't get as many days off as me. It's good to be a student. Way better than work. LOL
Headed out to Sturgis this year again though we won't spend much time IN Sturgis. Last year we did a 3 day roadtrip to Red Lodge, MT, Yellowstone Park and Cody, WY. It was a great ride!! Only been to Sturgis twice, and seeing Rushmore and Crazyhorse was great, but they haven't changed much over the years I will do Needles and Custer Park however.
This year we are expanding our roadtrip to be at least 4 days maybe 5 and to come from the South side of the Grand Tetons and up into Yellowstone..will sepnd 2 days in Cody and check out the museum and ride Chief Joseph Highway. That was one regret I had last year. Cody looks like a great place to spend some time and we didn't get a chance to do it.
I live in NH but will ship the bike out and fly in. Got free flights from getting bumped last year so it's an easy savings of 700 bucks there.
Maybe I'll see you guys there, go to sturgis every year usually only get into town once or twice the whole week. I'd rather be riding than sitting in traffic in sturgis. went into town last year and stayed at the chip the nite of the aerosmith fiasco the remainder of the week I stay in the Hill City area where the best riding is. We usually go to Wyoming for wild wednesday and hit sundance/hulett and the devil's tower
I think the way I'm going to plan it this year is that we get in mid week before Sturgis. Will take that time to do the rides "Near" sturgis...Needles, Custer and maybe hit deadwood/hill city. Then as the rally starts, head out to Wyoming and avoid the Sturgis jam. I was at the Aerosomith show last year too and paid 200 bux to see 5 songs

I feel your pain bro. they should of put areo on right after saving able man the rain really screwed that night up, that was are last night at the rally had to be in baltimore on friday so me and the kid packed up from the camp ground where we always stay at and got to the chip around 1pm and started to party pretty heavaly and we kept seeing all the little babes going to work at 4 and five with thier autographed steven tyler skimpy shirts on so we knew he was back staged getting all screwed up before the shoe started.
