MB bikeweek
just got my lodging in north myrtle beach, been laid off so cant go to sturgis or daytona this will haft to do just need to go around the city pipes are loud have nothing for city of mb.anyone else going.
I thought I'd seen online that most of the events are concentrated south of Myrtle Beach this year? I went last year and was thinking of going again this year. It would be nice to stay closer to the event locations this time. Stayed way north last year. Does anyone have more information? The web seems unusually devoid of facts.
Thanks,
Thanks,
North Myrtle Beach is looking at sponsoring a part of the rally this year for the first time. I think they are looking in to the main st. area and using the new Main St connector to flunel folks in and out Via Hwy 31 for points north and south.
We are going me a few other friends, we just by passed the city, and will do the same to close to us not to go.Went for the first time last year and will go again this year had way too much fun not too.
SCREW MB!
My friends and I went there for a number of years, and spent a lot of money. Even if they were to change their laws as to the way it was, I will still NEVER go back!
I have since been exploring new places, and I am finding that bikers are welcome in a lot of places. In 2009, we went to Johnstown, ,PA for their Bike Week, and we had a great time. The people in Johnstown, and surrounding areas were very friendly, and the hospitality was great. Everywhere we went, everyone thanked us for coming, and invited us back next year, and guess what Myrtle Beach, we will go back to PA and spend our money!
We also went to the OBX fall rally in Nags Head, NC. The weather was great, and so were the people. Everyone was friendly, and seemed to enjoy the bikers!
We are planning to return in April to the OBX for their Spring Rally!
Guess what Myrtle Beach you just lost more money!!! $$$ CHA-CHING!!!
To each his own, if you still like MB, go for it. Just remember that there are a lot of other places that will welcome you with open arms, and with a lot less BS, and not to mention some beautiful riding!
Have sun and ride safe!!
