I am planning a 5 day ride, with several friends, to the Lake of the Ozarks and have two week windows in either late June or early August. Trying to determine what to expect weather wise during these time periods. I expect June to possibly be a little wetter while August would be more humid. We'd be traveling from southern WI. Anyone familiar to the weather in this area ? Thanks for any input ... Troop
I live in Sedalia Mo. which is not far from the Ozarks. I can tell you June weather is usually much nicer with everything being green and not to hot. August is usually hotter than blazes and everything is pretty much burnt up. Hope this helps. C908
Im up at Bagnel Dam (Lake Ozarks) all the time in them months Cat fishing or Bow fishing and it will be hot and humid, but close to the lake it can get pretty cool at night, and thunderstorms can come out of nowhere it seems.
your going to want to dress light for hot weather, your going to want a light jacket and maybe a long sleeved shirt for under it for riding at night. And be sure to bring gear for rain just in case, it can rain for an hour or it can rain for a couple days, you just never know.
june is more likely to be wetter than august, but both months are generally the same type weather.
