Sounds like a lot of people are making the trip to Alaska this year. A buddy and I are heading that way May 29 from Kansas and plan on being back home around July 4. If you see a blue & sliver 09 Ultra pulling a time-out camper and a red Road King with matching Bushtec trailer and the two guys have a big old grins on their face, that will be us.
I am planning on hearing up throught Great Falls then on to Edmonton, Darson Creek, and up the Alcan.
I will be protecting my Ultra with Clear Bra on all forward facing surfaces, locktighting even the mundane screws and bolts (the chip seal shook all sorts of bolts on the Goldwing).
My plan is to b at the Arctic Circle on June 21. Lets share prep plans, more eyes on issues keep us from missing cncerns.

Hey Cummings, have you been through the mountains from Banff to Jasper in Alberta on your way north? Just thought I'd mention it instead of the Calgary/Edmonton route. It's a scenic ride people don't forget.
We are planning on being above the arctic circle on the 4th of July. My wife and I are coming from Florida and that is just the way the days fell on our vacation time. We will be in Fairbanks for two or three days around that run. She has a Night Train and is one of the only women I know of to ride her own up the Dalton. I'm riding a Road King. We are not planning on making it the whole way up the haul road with big street bikes. Road is too shitty to go the whole way. We'll cross the Yukon River and get up past the arctic circle turnout, get some pics then start back home. Maybe we will see you up around there somewhere.

TFTom, I ran into an older couple (72ish) at a local dealer and they each road their scoots to the ac for their 70th bdays. He had a Eglide and she a softail deluxe. They were well known at the dealer for all the trips they have been on. The ac trip started here in St. Pete. and ended here total of 17,000 miles. I can only dream of making a trip like that. No time......
That's interesting info. Are you talking about Jim's in St. Pete? My wife is from St. Pete and that really perked her interest. She will probably try to get in touch with her.
