Motolights...they're pricey...but they are quality, bright, have a great warranty, life-time replacement on the bulb, well-built, etc. I'll be moving mine to my next bike for sure. I've never (yet) had a complaint from a fellow biker or have I been "flashed" by on-coming cars.

Have fitted Silver Star bulbs into HD housings.
Same wattage and voltage but much brighter.

Thanks, everyone.

I decided to go with the Kuryakan bullets for a number of reasons, but mostly because
I wanted to do some other electrical accessory work and the shop I trust most to do
everything is a Kuryakan dealer.

IF they don't work out, I can always go another direction later..

Just money, right?

I've kept all the suggestions, BTW. Some good info..

I like driving lights I think they help visibility bar flies don't need any stinking driving lights.

PIAAs are expensive, but great lights. You stated you want "driving lights". Remember, driving lights will cast a long narrow beam down the road. Fog lights will cast a wider beam, lighting up the sides of the road, but won't improve visibility down the road. Select wisely. Driving lights are usually illegal except when using your high beam. In other words, if there's traffic around, driving lights will blind and can cause you issues with the LEOs.

Personally, I like fog lights. Let's me see the eyes of critters before they commit suicide.

I just removed the Harley engine guard fog lights from my 03 Heritage. While they were OK if you just wanted to be more noticeable to oncoming traffic, they were pretty much worthless in the dark, rain, or fog. Or at least they were on the Heritage due to too much reflection off the chrome and other shiny surfaces of the front end.

I am going to replace them with fender mount motolights. And angle them out slightly to the sides as a sort of ditch light. The stock motolights are 12 degrees of coverage so I figure if I mount them with the housing edge parallel to the fender that will cast the light out to the side as required.

FYI...if you are a LEO, firefighter or military (active/veteran), they give a discount.

Love my HD's........ was going to do Kury, but then I thought the low, flat oval design
looked better on the engine guards......plus, they cast a wider horizontal beam at night.
With the halogens, you really get good road coverage side to side. I live in a rural area, where the critters tend to populate the shoulders at night. You can spot their glowing eyes easily with this set up..... and aligned properly.
