Went to our 1st bike rally that was not in a city. Have been to MB, Daytona, etc. but never to a bike rally by private party.
So we packed the tent and went to Eden, NC.
Both good an bad as you might imagine, but the road trip we took to Sourthern VA. over to BRP was great!
We were somewhere North of Martinsville and cut west, got lost (a little, on purpose) and it was beautiful country.
if your look'n for another local rally to go to try the hot springs rally put on by the CBA chapter of buncome county. Event is held at the end of the month in Madison county at the camp ground in Hot Springs. Also the same weekend Barbarose's does up a big deal weekend to. Be ready to camp out. Look like a good event there. Girls on the bull are always fun
Thanks Hardluk1, its been a hit or miss experience with some of these rallies. I've ridden 4-6 hours for some, only to stand in a field with a couple of campers and an empty stage. Other times I've stopped into one on the way to someplace else, and ended up spending a weekend in a party that just sort of snowballed. Eden was somewhere in between. I had a blast, no major issues, I'd go again.
I'd appreciate any more details about the rallies you mentioned. I think I am finally going to try the Smokeout in Rockingham later this month.
Well you could go to ( buncombecba.com ) or just type in hotsprings rally this ain't new new event . It is in it's 13th year and has become first come ,first serve. They are maxing out the camp. And don't for get Barbarosa's. Just search. Smokeout is a great event to just also be ready to camp there to. This event books all motel rooms very early on.
