Try the Rendezvous for ribs in Memphis. They are outstanding. Heavy dry rub crust and cooked perfectly. Mmmmmm...... might have to make that trip again myself.
I can see this developing from and good road trip story into a "who's got the better BBQ" debate. I'll enjoying watching and taken notes for future use!

I'll have to do that! We are heading down to Memphis tomorrow morning, it's about time for some good ribs. This should be about 780 miles. But with side trips we are looking at about 3300 mile this weekend. And I will put the Rendezous on our list of place too stop.

That's what I was hoping for! So far, though, it sounds like in KC its between Arthur Bryant and Oklahoma Joe's. I thought there might be some other strong opinions out there on Kansas City BBQ. Anyone? Anyone?
I was there in July for a baseball weekend. We tried Gates Bar BQ
near the ballpark and it was GREAT!! Would like to have had time to try
a few others. Man I wish we were there now.......MMMMMM.
