thanks again for all the info. Its hard to get away when u got little ones we are lucky grandma will keep our little girl once a month for us so we can do some good rides. We are blessed!
Yeah, my parents tell us all the time that they would be happy to take them when ever we want, but when we ask they always seem to have something going on. I can understand though because we have twin boys that are just about to turn two, and they can be a hand full, especially in a house that is not baby proofed.
we got in about 400 miles this weekend. We left Friday afternoon when the rain seemed to be done. It was a cold ride but a crappy weather day on the bike is always better than work. We took IL40 to 140 into Alton pitstop at Fast Eddies for a beer and steak on a stick. Since weather was kind gloomy we went to 270-to 64 and picked up 94 at Weldon Springs. 94 is a cool fun ride we stopped at one winery near Defiance smpled a few although I am a beer guy wife likes the wine and found a couple that were ok. We split out of there and headed to the coolest little bed and breakfast in Washington, Mo. The owner Glenda always has snack and wine ready and waiting for us when we get there. Just hung out there on our private deck rest of the night watchin the big river flow by. Saturday morning was rainy but cleared our by 10 or so and we rode to Herman, Mo went to Stone Hill Winery is cool one of the few that does tours through the wine cellers. They are pretty gererous with the samples too but since we were riding only tried one. the ride fromWashington- Herman is a nice little ride the more we rode the better the weather got. Saturday afternoon the city of Washington was having BREWFEST at the local farmers market down by the river. I think there was something like 20 plus micro brews sicne we were done riding for the day i tried quite a few I like most of the amber beers Augusta Brewery was the best. Went back to our private deck and finished a few more beers and enjoyed the music the bar right across from us had. Another advantage of were we stay your own deck free music from the bar and a lot cheaper beers.Today we got up to a home cooked breakfast by the bed and breakfast owner then we set out for home. 94 was even better ride today clear blue sky and great temps. Lots of bikes out today. We were wanting to get home to our little one so we hammer downed most of the trip. on 270 north just after 64 merge highway was down to 2 lanes accident when we got closer we saw it was a bike under a car, that about makes u want to get off and walkaway from the bike when u see that. Hope all is ok but did not look good! this is our third trip this summer with wife and I we alwas have fun and enjoy the rides! if u are in the Washington, Mo area and want a good place to stay call Glenda http://www.glenrichbedandbreakfast.com/index.html its more than a regular hotel room home cooked breakfast and a great lady doing what she loves!
