Us 395
Has anyone rode US 395 from LA area to Reno, and what is the fuel stop situation like? Looking at google maps looks to me like there is something almost every 30 miles or so. I am running a Sporty with the 3.3 gal tank so my overall range is not so great.

Not every 30 miles but finding gas will not be a problem - even with your small-ish tank. When are you planning to make this trip? 395 is a very scenic highway and you can also make good time. But it can get very hot in the summer.

It's a great ride. No worries on gas. There are plenty. Once you get above Bishop it gets real nice riding along the Walker river. One of my favorite rides. Go over to Lake Tahoe while you are up there if you get the chance. you won't regret it.

There are a lot of speed traps on that hiway. When you are going thru the small towns, do the speed limit, no matter what the other traffic does. Take your time and enjoy the ride and scenery but don't be in a hurry or you'll get to pay some extra taxes.
