Well I am headed out tomorrow morning for 2 weeks or so. I am leaving the Belligham WA area down to 90 and over the pass. Eastern WA to Eastern OR and then just a dip into ID. Then down through ****** Valley and into Winnemucca and then into Fallon NV. Family in Fallon and the Bay Area. I will then head down and through Yosemite and into Hollister. My trip back up will over the Golden Gate and up the Redwood Highway.
2 Years ago my buddy bought his first Harley and this was the trip we were going to take last year and he backed out. He then backed out this year .....AGAIN!!! He called me today to tell me he got a new back rest for long trips....I told him it was a waste of money. Owns a Road King for 2 years can't get up enough nut to get it out of the County. So it will be a Solo again this year....it's OK I think I like it better that way!
Will post a trip report with Pics when I get back!
I am not one who rides and rides and rides. But when I commit I go. It bothers me that some of my friends are so cavalier about not going after planning a trip. Whether it is a 50 miler or 5000 mile if you say you will go, then go. I use to have the same problems with my golf foursome buddies. I would make all the plans and then some of them would cancel at the last minute and think nothing about it.
You will probably have a great time at worst so enjoy yourself.
In Hollister CA visiting Family. Staying for the week then back Northbound via the Golden Gates then the Redwood highway. Been taking lots of Pics, will post write up and pics when I get home!
