Sounds like I should put South Ohio in my places to ride book.

Did the triple nickel a few weeks ago. Some of the turns had gravel and some patches but still a great ride. Stopped at S&S Carryout met the owners, they took our pictures to put on their website. They also told us about a place to stop on 78 for a great view of the area. Only a 1/4 mile off of 555. Stop in S&S and they will tell you about it.

Some other guy is doing most of the planning, so I don't know yet where we will go from there. He did mention something about a town along the Ohio River...

I'll let you know if the plan comes together. We'll need to see how the weather looks for that weekend. Once I know more, I'll get back with you.

One question though, are those southern Ohio roads as good as those roads I took you guys on in southern Indiana?

We locals call it "The Rim of the World." Colors should about be reaching their peak. Haven't been that way for a while but SR 78 does offer it's challenges, twists and turns and ups and downs. Not quite the ride as 555 but well worth a look see.

Rode 555 last weekend, fall colors looking really good and it was not busy at all. Probably this weekend will be the last of the peak colors. Saturday is supposed to be sunny with high of 70. Be sure to stop at Tom's Ice Cream Bowl in Zanesville for lunch and a bowl of ice cream - a genuine step back to 1950.

Work you way east of Columbus to St. Rt. 13 south, 13 south to St. Rt. 256 east to St. Rt. 664 south, 664 south to St. Rt. 56. Go west on 56 a couple of hundred yards to a place called Jimbo's. Best burgers in the country. From Jimbo's east on St. Rt. 56 till you get to St. Rt. 93 South, 93 south to the Ohio River.

I guess that it should be St. Rt. 265 WEST to St. Rt. 664.
