spent the last two winters in Pheonix, man the country out there is just pure enjoyment to the eyes. funny the land is rough, mean, harsh, and just plain burtal, but it is also beautiful. the valley of the gods is jsut awsome. rode the Harley out there before but this year Im takein the jeep and a dirt bike to get off road and into the backcountry. enjoy....
Wow, that was great. That was my favorite ride in the 70`s. There were no tourists back then and it was a great place to kick back and enjoy a beer on the porch. The owner back then was very biker friendly. The last time I was there I couldnt beleive how many tour buses were there. Great memories, thanks for the video.
What you didn't continue on to Globe? I did that in the truck, don't think that I want to do it on the Ultra.
We winter in Casa Grande so been there and done that to . Great little ride. I like the ride up to Globe and then down 77 also.
Yeah, just pass Tortilla Flat the road still turns to gravel. I don't believe they will ever pave that last piece past Apache Lake. I wish they would, it would make for a nice ride.

It would be great to take the bike back in there. But as you say they probably never will pave it. Kinda nail biting on some of those curves with a truck and meeting another truck.
