Default Florida to NY

I've made the trip from Florida to NY in a car a dozen times but never on a bike. Does anyone know how long it would take (approximately) including stops for gas, rest, etc. to go from Florida to NY?

Are there any routes to avoid once you get into the northeast (north of Virginia let's say)?

Thanks!

Where in NY? I've made that trip 10-12 times on the bike but it was to upstate near Syracuse.

First stop is Hudson county/Newburgh area to visit old friends then Westchester County to move down my mother in law.

My husband is the one going, he's got the route mostly planned but just didn't know the timeline with stops on a bike.

My wife and i drive to NC/VA twice a year....about 820 miles...one way....in the car or truck it takes us about 13 hours..on the bike it takes about 14 1/2 hours....on the bike we make an overnite stop at the 1/2 way point....400-500 miles a day is my limit on the bike....we do it in one day in the truck...

I've never done that trip, but the math works for me. We can ususally go twice as far in a day in the car vs on the bike. And I actually find I don't enjoy trips on the bike if we go much more than 400 miles two up, where I can go 500 and still enjoy it solo.
