Default Dallas Stokers Road House?

I would like to know if a 200mi ride to vist Stokers Road House is what it's all hyped about?? Would like to hear from Dallas area Peeps on the low down. I am thinking about maybe a Saturday Morning ride before the weather gets cold and wet from Shreveport, La.

Well I would say yes. It is nothing special to me. But for only 200 miles, I say do it. Sat and Sun are the best days. The better the weather the better the crowd.

Its just 200 miles, sounds like a good excuse whether it turns out to be worth or not.

Both good answers.

Basically, you are going. 200 miles is nothing and we need a full write up when you return. You can not allow a forum member here to talk you out of it. Saddle up cowboy and ride west to.......Stroker's Dallas.

P.S. No pictures means it never happened.

Worth it. Shoot, I rode ~110 miles down I-35 yesterday just to go Waco to say hello to a friend teaching at H-D of Waco and then ate lunch at Panera Bread. (Not even worthy of being mentioned in the same thread as Stroker's!) Talk about a lame excuse for a ride...but did I grin the whole way down and back? Yessirreee I did! Stroker's is a much better destination ride! That place is always hoppin' when the weather is decent. I would say that is is all it's hyped up to be. I'm not sure, but they may have more going on (live music, etc) in the summer months...you might check out their website.

I went there a couple years ago in January and really liked it. I got to meet Rick in the dealership and had I nice talk about when I used to see his show on TV. I got one of his many to choose from Tee shirts and it still is one of my favorites. He does them in the ole hippey 60's look that I can relate to. At the Ice house next door they got I thought good food and good drinks at a good price. It looks like it would be fun to visit in the summer. If I only liked 200 miles from there I'd go in a heartbeat. Also the barmaids aren't too bad either.

I appreciate eveybodys response to my question about a ride to Strokers Roadhouse but what I mean of a 200 mi ride is.....Is it worth fighting traffic of Dallas vs riding a Scenic back road's ride to a Real Texas Roadhouse for a beer & Burger? It's my pleasure to hop on my bike and eat BBQ, Burger's and Beers 200+ miles one way or round trip in a day....love it! ( if anyone up for a hello let me know! )

What I guess I'm asking here is the hype worth it to say I've been there / got the Tee Shirt thing or ride on and pass-up the chance of fighting traffic in the city!!

O........and if anyone has any secrec
if any one has any secret BBQ / Burger Dives I'd love to know so i can check them out as well !!!!!!!!!!!!

Well worth the ride. Sat & Sun definately the best days. You can go to the old bike shop down the road and see some vintage cycles if you go on Saturday.
