Trip planning help
Before a road trip I enjoy sitting down with my Atlas, and an adult beverage or three, and just take it in. Even if I have a certain destination in mind, maybe I'll see something that peaks my interest when looking at a map of that state or area between here & there.
When we have traveled, I have followed the route planned, or sometimes due to a whim, weather, traffic, or time tables have ended up no where near where expected. Those no where near expected moments have sometimes been the most entertaining.
We always try to visit places the locals are, restaurants bars etc.
Whatever you do, and where ever you go, take it in & enjoy.

Some people will say to wing it but you would hate to be traveling 10 miles away from the best roads in a State.....enjoy and ride safe......
An on-line service like google maps is ok, but with Street Atlas, you can set it to avoid or prefer certain road types.
