Default Hot chow!!!!!!!

I got an email from the IBA today saying that my was certified!!!!! I rode the ride May 6th, sent it out May 11th, IBA received it May 13th and I was notified today that my ride was certified. They gave me a password for the IBA store. Needless to say I ordered some stuff. Now to get my paperwork in the mail.

Wow they are getting really quick certifying lately. You used to wait 3 or 4 months and some even longer.
Congratulations flip180!

Congratulations flip180!

That is really quick too! They told us on May 21st, that it would be 6 to 8 weeks, perhaps they are managing expectations, hehehehehe..........

Bfisher1970,
It becomes a new addiction after the first one, lol.... you might as well jump in, the water is warm.

I am having a hard time knowing that my buddy is doing the border to border today. He left Yuma this morning at 4:00. Nobody in his right mind would want to be doing that right now. I am obviously NOT in my right mind.

Not to mention, over time, time would be shaved off as well.

I haven't decided on whether I will buy a GPS before the trip or not. I personally like being old school and rely on a map if I need it, but the idea of getting lost when time counts doesn't sound like much fun either. Normally getting lost on some back country road is half the fun part, lol....

I have figured that there will only be about 3-1/2 hours of real night riding at the end of the ride, which I would imagine is when you get pretty punch drunk and goofy too. The only down side I can think of here is, I haven't been on that stretch of the road from Little Rock, AR to Dallas, TX before on I-30, so I don't know about major construction or anything. I thought I might take a little ride in the next couple of weeks and ride at least to Texarkana and check on the roads so there are no surprises at a 11:00 PM when doing the ride.

Thanks again, PigInaBlanket.
You talk about being allowed to start between 5am and 5:30am.... is this something a group or org has made a rule??? can NOT find that anywhere on the IBA web site

I just got home on June 11 from a coast to coast www.rftw.org... after that, we took out time down the east coast and then west to ca... HOTTTTTT was the word of the day... last three days we were doing 525 a day just to get home, leaving at 5am. Heat in the south was someting else - don't know how you who live back/down there handle it.

Yeah, I was real surprised that is was so quick with it being the start of riding season especially up north. I was expecting that a bunch of people would be attempting IBA rides that the certification team would be innundated.
