For the full Milwaukee experience stay at the Iron Horse hotel.
Sure, if you got money to throw $$$ out the window. I wouldn't stay at a Super 8 or Motel 6 (roach motels) like others suggested, but whatever. Anything more than about $100 a night is a frivolous waste.

Cool man, Will book a room there, would rather pay the xtra money and stay somehwere cool then a slum, BTW does harey give plant ture? and can you give us some cool things to do and see, I'm comming middle august..
I don't know if they give a plant tour. You'd have to contact the factory.
Stuff to check out:
Summerfest grounds. Assorted festivals all year.
State fair.
See a game at Miller Park
5 O'clock Club. Best steak in town. Carnivore is also quite good but very overpriced.
Kettle Moraine state reserve is a decent ride.
The lakefront/Bradford Beach
btw, we were at the Iron Horse having some drinks on Friday night and I asked the front desk about price............$309 per night! I really didn't know it was that much. It is a really cool place but that is awful expensive.
Don't stay at the Double Tree downtown. It is across from the Hilton. Called them on the phone and they told me the room was $164.00 and they had a insight garage valet parking. I would have to park my motorcycle myself. No big deal. When we checked out the bill was 234.00. By the time they added tax and the $15.00 valet fee. I argued with them but to no avail. One more thing, I got there number as a Holiday Inn number in my HD GPS. Seems they bought out the Holiday and are owned by Hilton. I did get my points through the Hilton Honors program. The Ramada was just a block down. About a 6 block walk to HD museum. Be sure to ride your bike right up to the door at the museum they have plenty of parking.
