Lots of very tight switchbacks. But one of the best rides in Colorado. 14,180 ft

We went up Mt Evans in July 2010. As we're on the peak 2 HDs came in. The parking lot was getting full and they stopped at the beginning area of the lot. It's kind of steep there. Don't know what happened to the one. His OL got off and while he was getting off his bike fell on its side and it's steep enough there that his bike slid 10-15 ft on its side. Don't know if he forgot to put his kickstand down but that's what it looked like. They left before we got down from the peak.

Tod, they do close the last five miles to the top right after Labor Day. The reason is an unanticipated snowstorm could dangerously trap many people up high at a fierce place. From mountevans.com...
