Los Angeles - Parker Dam
An easy weekend "clear the head" desert ride during the winter. I like the 210 to the 10 then route 177 (57 miles east of Palm Desert) up to 62 then 95. Not a lot of traffic past Redlands and only a few vehicles going either way on route 177 and that part of 62. Bliss. The alternative is catch route 62 off the 10 and go up thru Joshua Tree. It's been in the 60's and 70's lately.

it was an overnighter. but i've done an out and back from palm springs. and yeah, if you're jumping on the 177, you have to gas up on the 10 before desert center. the gas station in vidal does no have premium.
