Phuket Bike Week is a great way to experience the country of Thailand on the back of a motorcycle. Hundreds of bike enthusiasts gather to Phuket on this annual occasion and not only show off their rides, but ride together around the country as well.
Another great idea for the hard rider is extending the trip by a few days by starting the trip from Singapore. By doing this, one can ride from Singapore, through picturesque Malaysia, and to Thailand. Definitely worth the experience.
I went to Phuket Bike Week last year, and I chose to start the trip from Singapore. It was definitely something new and unique, and was a great experience. Malaysia was the best, with rainforests and long highways. It's quite difficult to get one's own bike into Singapore, but I've been told that renting has become significantly easier recently.
I would suggest Phuket Bike Week to anyone who considers themselves a real ironbutt rider!
Beautiful area to ride - when it is slow season. Drivers are crazy. By the way, for those who have not been to Thailand, Phuket sounds like "poo-ket."
Local folks in Thailand always laugh when tourists call it "Fhuck-it."
No matter what you call it, Phuket is one of the most beautiful places on the Earth. Coastal Thailand, like Phuket, Koh Tao, etc., are all well worth experiencing. And relatively inexpensive too.
Gotta be careful with those "girls" you meet in Thailand.
But, seriously Phuket is a gorgeous area of Thailand. The opposite of Pattaya. You couldn't pay me enough to ride a bike there though. And Singapore is AMAZING. The cleanest and safest country you'll ever see.

Are you saying she's not a "good" girl? She treated me right!
Phuket Bike Week is coming up again actually! Very excited for it, I'm going in a large group with some friends that we managed to get through a Harley based travel agent. Should be great!
